We are delighted that Cristalco, the commercial subsidiary of Cristal Union, has entrusted France Mélasses, UM Group’s French subsidiary, with the marketing of beet molasses for animal feed in France.

The partnership was formally agreed at a meeting at UM’s head office in London.

The agreement follows several decades of collaboration in animal nutrition and builds on the two organisations’ strengths:

• Cristalco brings the ability of Cristal Union to produce local, sustainable molasses with highly sought-after properties for animal nutrition.
• France Mélasses delivers a solid distribution network and expertise, as well as storage and logistics solutions adapted to the specific needs of customers.

The strategic partnership was formalised in the presence of all the stakeholders, namely Pierre-Henri Dietz, Managing Director of Cristalco, Ludovic Brasset, Cristalco’s Director of the Feed Division, Florent Pugibet, Cristalco’s Director of Feed Sales, Jacques Leblanc, President of France Mélasses, and Benjamin Waldhoff, Managing Director of France Mélasses. Ben Macer, CEO of UM Group, was also in attendance.
