Hamish Fraser joined us at the start of September and brings with him an extensive background in biofuels, agriculture and energy trading.

Hamish is based at UM’s head office in London and will be working across the Group supporting business development and optimisation, including third-party storage business outside of GB.

He will also play a key role in executing bolt-on acquisitions and integration of newly acquired businesses as opportunities arise.

Hamish’s most recent role was Global Head of Biofuel Trading at Castleton Commodities and, previously, he was Global Head of Biodiesel Assets at Morgan Stanley, both roles based in London.

Originally from New Zealand where he grew up on a farm, he has lived and worked in London for more than 20 years.

Hamish said: “I am delighted to be joining UM which has such a strong and established reputation in the trading and marketing of molasses and molasses-related products.”
