Birkenhead Boys - London to Brighton Cycle
Posted on December 13, 2019
We're very proud to announce that the team of cyclists from our Birkenhead Terminal have raised a grand total of £5640 for Ronald McDonald House at Alder Hey Children's Hospital.
Ronald McDonald House provides much needed and totally free accommodation for families of children being treated at Alder Hey Children's Hospital. Their families regularly say that being minutes away from their sick child's bedside as well as being able to keep the whole family together, without any worry of cost, makes such a difference. They are a totally independent charity and rely on fundraising and donations to keep their doors open.
This challenge was particularly close to our hearts as one of the team recently used the services of "Mac House" whilst his daughter underwent open heart surgery. He would very much like to thank the Staff for their amazing support and use of their fantastic facilities. His daughter is well on the road to recovery we are pleased to add!
Cyclists: Neil Arrowsmith, Craig Smith, Krys Hawk, Jamie Houlihan and Mick Hayes.
Drivers: Les Culverston and Cameron Arrowsmith.
Denise Byrne from Ronald McDonald House came along to our Birkenhead Terminal recently to collect the cheque and was absolutely delighted with the huge amount that the team raised.
Well done Team Birkenhead!!
